[2013] Prato Domanda: Elettori e Candidati a confronto!

Abbiamo organizzato una serata con i candidati al parlamento delle varie forze politiche perché riteniamo fondamentale in questo momento storico che il voto non sia una sbrigativa delega in bianco, ma il primo atto di un’esperienza di corresponsabilità.

 

In primo luogo abbiamo cercato di offrire ai cittadini un’occasione in cui potevano ascoltare in un’unica serata la posizione dei vari partiti sui temi di maggior interesse, perché è difficile trovare il tempo per frequentare conferenze di singoli candidati per farsi un’idea su chi votare.

In secondo luogo volevamo garantire il contatto diretto, visivo, con loro, perché la politica è fatta di idee e di programmi, ma anche di persone, ed è importante ascoltare le loro motivazioni per capire se ci corrispondono e ci convincono.

In terzo luogo abbiamo voluto che fosse un’occasione di partecipazione, di vicinanza tra gli elettori ed i candidati.

Il problema forse più importante della politica italiana è a parere di tutti la frattura che si è creata tra cittadini e politici, tra società ed istituzioni. Noi riteniamo che la strada da seguire per ovviare a questo problema non è la protesta distruttiva, ma cercare di rimettere insieme società e politica, eletti ed elettori. Lavorare perché nell’agenda dei partiti ci siano al primo posto i problemi della gente. La democrazia cresce se c’è questa corresponsabilità nella gestione della cosa pubblica e nella vita delle istituzioni.

Ancora abbiamo cercato di costruire una rete di associazioni che si ponga come opportunità per i singoli cittadini di mettersi in contatto con i propri eletti.

La serata è stata molto positiva per la partecipazione che c’è stata, circa 150 persone. I candidati hanno risposto a turno ai sei quesiti in cui abbiamo condensato le domande che ci erano pervenute con varie modalità, pagina Facebook, sito della Polis, mail. A questo riguardo ricordiamo quanto detto all’inizio di serata, e cioè che le domande giunte dopo le 12 del 14 febbraio non sono state inserite perché dovevamo comunicare i quesiti ai candidati con un po’ di anticipo.

L’evento è stato moderato da Fabrizio Nucci del giornale Metropolis.

La considerazione immediata suscitata dalle risposte dei vari candidati è stata che di fronte ai problemi concreti le loro posizioni non erano così distanti come si potrebbe immaginare osservando la litigiosità della scena politica. Anzi su alcuni punti erano in larga parte coincidenti.

Ciò ha rafforzato la convinzione che la politica per uscire dalla palude in cui si trova attualmente deve investire nei programmi per risollevare il paese dalla situazione di crisi in cui si trova, cercare di ricostruire una coesione sociale, mettendo in secondo ordine la competizione per il potere.

Abbiamo proposto ai candidati di rendere pubblici i loro recapiti sulle nostre pagine web, una volta completate le operazioni elettorali, per permettere a quanti vogliono mantenersi in contatto di poterlo fare con facilità. Ci hanno quindi gentilmente lasciato numeri di telefono, indirizzi di posta elettronica, blog e altro che riportiamo qui sotto. Anche se al momento nessuno di loro risulta eletto in parlamento li pubblichiamo qui per domande o chiarimenti anche sulle risposte date nel corso della serata.
